Rumours Hair Salon – Our Team

We like to think we are a friendly and welcoming bunch here at Rumours Hair Salon. We work hard to create our client’s dream hairstyles, but we also make sure that our clients feel welcome from the minute they step in the door and love their hair long after they leave our salon.

Meet our friendly team.

Artistic Director

Lisa is our Artistic Director. She has worked with Lee Stafford so you’ll know you’re in safe hands when you have a hair appointment with her. Lisa absolutely adores creating root stretch and highlights, she’s great at hair-up styles too. If you’re desperate for your hair to grow faster Lisa has a top tip for you. She recommends massaging the scalp for 5 minutes each evening and you’ll soon notice the results.
In the evenings Lisa enjoys a meal out at Frankie and Benny’s or catching up on Eastenders.

Creative Director

We were pleased to welcome Miranda to the team as our Creative Director in 2019. She speaks to a lot of clients that feel they can never get their hair the way it looks in the salon. But don’t worry; Miranda will take the time to give you tips and advice for hair care once you leave. Miranda strongly believes that if you love your hair it will love you back. Her top tip is that you should book in for regular trims to get rid of those split ends.
If you have suspicions about something going on in your life then book a hair appointment with Miranda. She adores CSI, NCIS and Criminal Minds. In fact anything crime related, so she will help you get to the bottom of it. She’s a Creative Director – slash - Detective!

Style Director

Michelle joined our team as Style Director in September 2023. She got into hairdressing when she was working with the uncle of her best friend and has loved it ever since. While she always wanted to be an artist, during her time working in hair salons she found that hair is a great canvas to create art. We certainly agree that the hairstyles she has created for our clients are a work of art.

Michelle has worked on Cruise Ships in the past, and even did the hair for Bobby Ball while he was performing on the cruise. She loves creating bobs and short but funky hairstyles. Michelle really enjoys doing colour work for our clients too.

If you’re looking to chat weather, holidays or the latest on The Bold Ones on BBC, Michelle is the hairdresser for you.

Innovation Director

Zoe is our Innovation Director. She is a hair stylist that aims to make you look wonderful and feel it too. Zoe has been a hairdresser for some time, and it has always been something she has felt passionate about. Her top hair care tip and key to luscious locks is to condition correctly. She has seen this mistake made by so many people in the past. Zoe recommends that you have your haircut every 6-8 weeks, and she promises that this will not stop your hair from becoming long – instead it will help make your hair thicker and healthier.

Zoe is a busy mummy, but when she has some free time she loves a meal out with friends, night in wise – it’s all about cuddling up on the sofa with the soaps!

Rosie joined our team as an experienced Barber in the first half of 2024. Rosie first got into hairdressing because of her Nan. Rosie’s Nan owned a shop in Sawtry for years and therefore she was brough up around all thing’s hairdressing. Since then, Rosie has been in the hairdressing industry for over 15 years!

Rosie loves doing sharp skin fades with lots of texture on top, almost a crop style. As you’ll be able to see on our social media pages, she definitely excels in this area.

Rosie is a big fan of films, but her ultimate favourite is The Matrix – if you want to know if she would have gone for the red pill or the blue pill, you best book a hair appointment with her now to chat all things, Matrix. She’s also a big fan of Caribbean food and the odd cheeky Chinese so if you have local food recommendations for her, she’s all ears!
